Terms of Use
TagVault is free. These terms are short on purpose.
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Agreement
By downloading or using TagVault you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where the two differ, these terms add to Apple's agreement and don't replace it.
Free to use
Every feature of TagVault is free. There are no subscriptions, ads or accounts.
You can leave an optional tip in the app (Settings → Support TagVault). Tips are paid through Apple's in-app purchase, unlock nothing and are thanks only. Apple handles the payment and any refund request. On the US App Store you can also sponsor the work on GitHub Sponsors, under GitHub's terms.
Your content is yours
What you add to TagVault stays on your devices and belongs to you. We never receive it, so we can't recover it for you. Keep a backup (Settings → Backup, or iCloud Backup) if you'd hate to lose it.
When you share with family, the people you invite can see and change what you share with them. Use Only me for boxes you want to keep to yourself.
Suggestions can be wrong
TagVault suggests names, labels and receipt details using on-device intelligence. Please check anything that matters, such as values for insurance or warranty dates. TagVault is a personal organiser, not a legal, insurance or financial record.
Fair use
Use TagVault for your own home and family. Don't reverse engineer the app, use it to break the law, or store content you don't have the right to keep.
Other services
Some features use services from others, such as Apple and Open Food Facts. Their own terms apply to those services.
No warranty
TagVault is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data, from using the app.
